The Gerry T. Hotaling Memorial Student Research Award

The Family Research Laboratory and Crimes Against Children Research Center announce their third annual student award for research in family violence. This award is designed to honor the lasting contributions Gerry Hotaling made to family violence research. He was also one of the founding organizers of the International Family Violence Research Conferences. The purpose of the research award is to give student recipients the opportunity to present their work at our conference, July 10-13, 2005, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Applicants must currently be students in graduate or undergraduate programs.

To apply, please submit:

  1. a letter of interest,
  2. a 100 word abstract of your study, and
  3. a five page proposal summarizing the research you wish to present. This research can be a dissertation or any other research project.

The student who is selected will receive a complementary conference registration and $300 toward travel or lodging expenses.[1] The award will be presented at the opening session on Sunday night, July 10, 2005.
