FITSI is an intensive faculty development program sponsored by Academic Technology, the Academic Technology Liaison Program, and with support from the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Discovery Program, and Connors Writing Center.

The Institute is a hands-on "training camp" offered to faculty and instructors in full-time, permanent positions at the University of New Hampshire Durham and Manchester campuses. Programming for the three days includes workshops by UNH instructional technology professionals along with guest presentations by recognized leaders in the field. Participants are chosen through a rigorous application and review process. Those chosen receive a Dell or Macintosh tablet for their department.

FITSI is made possible through funding by Academic Technology and the Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.
