Amanda Werner grew up in Newburyport, MA, starting her synchronized
skating career with the Ice Liners. She skated for the Ice Mates from
Lexington where she helped her team to a Novice National Championship in
2002. She then skated on the Colonial Junior Line for three years
competing nationally and internationally. Amanda also skated for
Miami University’s Senior Varsity Synchronized Skating Team for three years, winning
a National Championship in 2006, and was a member of the first U.S. team to ever
podium at the World Championships in 2007 with a silver medal. She graduated from
Miami University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. Amanda
also joined the Colonial Figure Skating Club coaching staff in 2009...
Assistant Coach, Kelly Richall, is a 2006 graduate of the University of New
Hampshire with a degree in Communications, and is a four year veteran of the UNH
Synchronized Skating Team. Kelly grew up in Walpole, MA where she began skating
at the age of 8, and was an accomplished individual competitor until her acceptance
to the University of New Hampshire where she found her true passion for the sport
as a synchronized skater. Kelly has competed at the Regional and National level in
both the Collegiate and Adult Divisions, and has been coaching for 9 years. When she
is not on the ice with UNH, Kelly works as Manager and Skating Director of the Flynn
Rink in Medford, MA, is a member of the Colonial Adult Synchronized Skating team, and
is Head Coach of the Excel Crystals Preliminary Team out of Foxboro, MA. Kelly says
that one of her greatest achievements is having the ability to work with the team that
she was once a member of, and watching the program grow beyond her expectations with
such an amazing group of talented young women.
