Alex Freid ('13) is the 2013 receipient of the Samuel Huntington Public Service Award, which provides $10,000 for a graduating senior to pursue one year of public service. Freid is putting the money toward the launch of the national non-profit PLAN: Post-Landfill Action Network, inspired by the successful Trash 2 Treasure program in place at UNH.
