Robert

Robert Stiefel

Robert Stiefel has been at UNH since 1992 teaching Humanities, History, Religious Studies, and Honors Seminars. He holds a Ph.D. in Germanic Studies from Harvard University. He began graduate studies as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and later received travel and study grants from the Ford and Lilly Foundations. He has taught at Harvard University and Haverford College. He also has an Master of Divinity and is a priest in the Episcopal Church and a Certified Member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.

Sheila

Sheila McCurdy

Sheila McCurdy has served as the UNH advisor for the Student Fulbright Program and the National Security Education Program since 1992. Over the years, she has also worked with students applying for Rotary scholarships and the Carnegie Junior Fellows Program. Fellowship advising is a portion of her responsibilities as assistant director of the Center for International Education. McCurdy holds a B.S in Elementary Education from the University of North Dakota and an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of New Hampshire. She continues to study French and travels abroad whenever possible. Since 1989 she has traveled almost yearly as a UNH representative for two-week adult study tours, visiting seven French regions, Norway, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland and has enjoyed personal travel in France, Finland, Ireland and the UK.

 

Katie Simpson

Katie Simpson became the Fellowships Office Assistant in August of 2008. She is responsible for answering student questions, coordinating special events, and managing the office’s information resources and databases. Katie received her undergraduate degree in 2005 from James Madison University and is currently a full time graduate student in history at UNH.
