The UNH Fellowships Office provides information, counsel, and editorial support to high achieving students applying for national and international fellowships and scholarships. The office also assists faculty members who serve as mentors and recommenders and arranges for members of the faculty to take part in interviews and screening committees. Established in 2005, the Fellowships Office is situated in the University Honors Program. The services of the Fellowships Office are available to undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni of the University. For more information, please contact Dr. Robert E. David L. Boren Scholarship

The David L. Boren 2009-10 scholarship competition provides opportunities for exceptional U.S. students planning study abroad (summer 2010, fall 2010, spring 2011) to become more knowledgeable about  the cultures and proficient in the languages of world regions critical to U.S. security interests, including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. 

     The Boren Scholarship is designed to provide U.S. students with the resources and encouragement they need to acquire skills and experiences in areas of the world critical to the future security of our nation, in exchange for a commitment to seek work in the federal government (Department of State, Homeland Security, Department of Defense or the Intelligence Community).

The UNH campus deadline for the completed application is December 15, 2009.  In addition to attending an information session, interested students should attend visit http://www.borenawards.org/ to learn more about the program.  Campus interviews will be held in late January or early February 2010 in preparation for the February 10,
2010 national deadline.
