Far View Distance Learning Program
The objective of Far View is to make selected courses in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences more accessible to those in the region by taking advantage of Internet technology. This technology enables students to take classes at remote locations using only a networked PC. Some courses may require occasional visits to the Durham campus, as indicated on the course syllabi. The distance learning approach that we are using at UNH is called the synchronous approach, because classes are taught on-line, where students and instructors are able to interact in a manner similar to a traditional classroom setting. To provide flexibility, all class materials, including lectures, are archived on course web sites.
