The Academic Affairs Committee requests Faculty Senate support for inviting the Honors Program director and the
director(s) of the Discovery Program to be appointed (as non-voting members) to the senate's Academic Affairs Committee
for a period of two years, starting in September of 2004.
5. Rationale:
The Faculty Senate will have an important role to play in the ongoing assessment of the Discovery Program, and
the senate should facilitate a smooth transition to the new Honors Program director. The presence of these program
