UNH FACULTY
SENATE
MOTION # XIII-M10
on the Discovery Program’s interdisciplinary understanding attribute
1. Motion presenter: Larry Prelli
2. Date of Faculty Senate discussion: 2/9/09, 2/23/09 and 3/9/09
3. Rationale:
Given that a general education program is a work in progress and is always open to possible future amendment and revision, the Academic Affairs Committee could not reach consensus on the Discovery Program’s interdisciplinary understanding attribute and therefore does not recommend approval of that attribute at this time.
4. Motion:
The Faculty Senate endorses the Discovery Program’s interdisciplinary understanding attribute.
5. Senate action: did not pass, with three ayes, twenty-seven nays, and six abstentions
6. Senate chair’s signature: Marco Dorfsman
