UNH FACULTY SENATE
MOTION # VIII-M10
2005-2009 Academic Calendars
1. Sponsoring committee: none
2. Motion Presenter: Tim Quinn
3. Date of Faculty Senate Discussion: April 19, 2004
4. Rationale:
The academic calendars for 2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008, and 2008-2009 appear to conform with previous senate
guidelines/motions, except that the calendars for 2005/06 and 2006/07 will need to start prior to Labor Day. The
reasons are that Labor Day falls late in those years and that the fourteen weeks of the fall semester must be completed
before a prescribed date in December and have the correct number of Mondays and Fridays.
5. Motion:
I move to approve the academic calendars for 2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008, and 2008-2009 as stated in Gregg
Sanborn's letter of 3-24-04.
6. Senate Action: passed, on 4-19-04
Vote: unanimous
