UPCOMING EVENTS:

September 9th/10th , 2006

“A trial run”- SWB members will be constructing their first rope and washer pump at a nearby location in Dover, NH. Materials will be collected and a model pumping system will be installed.

PAST EVENTS:

October 28th, 2005-

RAIN for the Sahel and Sahara is hosting “an evening of nomadic culture” where Tuareg nomads of West Africa will be present. Open invitation with a $50 donation recommended.

Event starts at 6pm. Tom Haass Barn- 583 Bay Road, Durham NH.

November 1st, 2005-

Join SWB for a benefit night at the FLATBREAD COMPANY. Support our efforts in the Southern Sahara Desert by eating pizza!!! For every flatbread sold, $3.50 will be donated to our organization.

The Flatbread Company 138 Congress Street, Portsmouth NH.

December 1st, 2005-

SWB invites the general public to attend a presentation on our current project in Niger. The group will explain plans for future trips and further details of the site assessment planned for January 2005.

The event will be held on the UNH campus- room TBA

December 3rd, 2005-

SILENT AUCTION and EMPTY BOWLS fundraiser. SWB has looked to local businesses and restaurants for their support. A silent auction will be held where the public can bid on donations such as artwork and gift certificates. The UNH art department has donated hand made bowls that will be filled with the soups of local restaurants. Come and enjoy! No admission fee.

Event held at The South Church, Portsmouth NH  10am-5pm
