Blackboard-Compatible Web Browsers

It is important that you use a modern, supported Web browser to access online courses in Blackboard.

  1. You can verify your own Web browser configuration is supported by running the Bb Browser Checker and checking the list of Blackboard's supported Web browsers and operating systems.
  2. If you have issues with Blackboard features and are using a supported browser, try using an alternative Web browser from the the list of Blackboard's supported Web browsers and operating systems.

Blackboard Collaborate

Blackboard Collaborate allows faculty and students to meet synchronously (real time) for office hours or full class sessions. If your course will be using Collaborate, check compatibility of your computer with Collaborate here: Check your system

Lecture Capture with Tegrity

Tegrity is the lecture capture platform that UNH offers that lets you record and view lectures and learning objects within Blackboard courses. For more information visit the Lecture Capture site.

Rich Media with Kaltura

Kaltura is a streaming video platform that UNH offers that lets you post and view audio and video within Blackboard courses. For more information, visit the Parker Media Lab site.

Parker Media Lab (PML)

The Parker Media Lab has multimedia stations and expert support for digitizing and editing audio, video, scanning and manipulating images, and creating presentations. This facility is equipped to provide for repair, duplication, transfer, conversion and preservation of media materials in most popular audio and video formats. GoToMeeting

GoToMeeting is a tool that lets you meet online rather than in an office or classroom. Using GoToMeeting, you can attend online office hours, hear a guest speaker in your course, or meet in real time with your instructor.  All you need is a networked computer and a small plug-in that you can download free from the Web.  If your instructor is using GoToMeeting, you will receive email invitations to attend these online sessions.
