I'm working in environmental remediation in Springfield, MA.  I've been in this field since graduation, spending three years in the Boston area before moving closer to where I grew up.  I do work primarily with petroleum releases, with occasional work with contamination related to metals and solvents.  Nice mix of field and office work.  For fun I'm doing whitewater raft guiding on the weekends on the Deerfield River in MA.  The other guides, when you bump into a rock with the raft, tend to comment about you taking the geology tour.  Imagine their surprise when they asked me sarcastically what kind of rock it was and I had an answer.
