Most oral sessions will provide a total of 20 minutes per presentation (15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion). One laptop computer using Windows XP (no Macs available) and Power Point 2003, one LCD projector, and one screen will be provided for all oral sessions. Speakers may not use their own laptop computers for presentations. If a Mac was used to produce a presentation, presenters should run it on one of the speaker ready room laptops to see if it works properly. Slide projectors, overhead projectors, and multiple screens will not be available. If you have any special requests you MUST contact the AV coordinator, Jake Crumb, by February 20, 2006.
There will be three ways to load a Power Point presentation:
Powerpoint presentations in excess of 4 Mb CANNOT BE EMAILED to conferences@unh.edu and an FTP site has not been established for this facility. Instead we will be using a local server and accepting your presentations on CD or Memory Stick at the times as indicated in both your acceptance letter, in the program published in the December issue of GEOLOGY TODAY, and below.
For Monday morning presentations, please come to the Salmon Falls Room (speaker ready room) of Holloway Commons between 4 - 9 pm on Sunday, March 11th. Your presentation will be ordered in the folder for your particular session and electronically "piped" to the appropriate meeting room.
During the meeting, bring the PowerPoint files on a CD or USB memory stick to the AV technician in the Speaker Ready Room, Salmon Falls Room, ground floor of Holloway Commons
For morning talks by 5 P.M. the evening before the scheduled talk time.
For afternoon talks by 10 A.M. before the scheduled talk time.
Poster sessions will take place in the Rotunda, Holloway Commons. They allow a minimum of three hours display time. Presenters must be present for a minimum of two hours of that time. All posters must fit on a single 8' x 4' display board. Electrical and network connections will not be available. Display boards will accommodate only pushpins.
