E-Mail Message From Jonathan Mies
After graduating with a B.S. Geology in 1981, I went on for my M.S. (1987)
and Ph.D. (1990) at UNC (Chapel Hill). After graduate school, I worked for
the Alabama Geological Survey (1990-1993), where my research focused on
structural/tectonic features of the piedmont. From the Alabama Geological
Survey, I took a teaching position at the University of Tennessee at
Chattanooga, where I am presently a UC Foundation Assistant Professor of
Geology. I reflect fondly on my years at UNH.
