Conrad Fischer B.S 1979, M.S. 1985 This is a quick note to fill you all in on my present whereabouts and occupation. I am currently employed by Parsons Brinckerhoff, an engineering firm specializing in transportation and underground construction. This has carried me around the country working on some rather interesting projects. I started out involved in exploration for the Boston Outfall Tunnel and have wandered through the Superconducting Super Collider, most recently I was working in Las Vegas on the Yucca Mountain Project, a five mile 25' diameter tunnel that acts as a laboratory supporting the establishment of a geological repository for nuclear wastes. Presently I have relocated to the Denver area where I am working on a project to design and construct about 1,500 miles of fiber optic IP network. While the work has gotten a little bit away from geology I still get to dabble and provide that service on a fairly frequent basis. email: conrad.fischer@L3.com |
