Packer
testing will be conducted in the four preliminary wells and the
existing bedrock wells within and surrounding Site 32. This will
determine the hydraulic conductivity and connectivity of the specific
fractures within the wells. Strings of inflatable packers will be
inserted into the wells to isolate the fractures (whose locations
will be determined by the borehole geophysical investigations).
Pre-pumping tests will be conducted at 1 to 4 flowrates over a 2-hour
period to determine the yield of the fractures. Then pumping tests
of 1 to 5 days duration will be run at the appropriate flowrate
determined during the short-term testing.
