Carol Bachofner (Abenaki) is a poet living in Rockland, ME. She has published two chapbooks, Daughter of the Ardennes Forest(2007) and Breakfast at the Brass Compass (2009) as well as a creative-writing textbook, Drink from Your Own Well. She is a mentor poet in the Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers and Storytellers, as well as a mother and grandmother.
