A Woman’s Love - A Poetic Perspective
Poet and author Sandra Turner-Barnes will present poetry celebrating the fierceness and feminine power of Women in general, and Black Women in particular. The presentation will also feature historically correct poems honoring legends such as Rosa Parks, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Abbey Lincoln, and other exciting, bold, new poems. Sandra will be reading from her most recent books, Beyond the Back of the Bus and But, Mostly Love.
