September 7, 2012: Shakespeare Lab
Join us for our first ever Shakespeare Lab!
The Department of English invites students, the university community, and the public to its first Shakespeare Lab.
Friday, Sept. 7, 2 to 5 p.m., Memorial Union Building Theatre II
Shakespeare Lab is intended to create a community-building experience for students taking Shakespeare and early modern drama classes this semester as well as the greater UNH community.
"We'll be offering lively, interactive presentations on Shakespeare's language and poetic meter, Renaissance London stage history, and modern performance of Shakespeare. We also will have live demonstrations of acting from some of the stars of the upcoming performance of Macbeth on campus," said Doug Lanier, professor of English and director of the UNH London Program.
Macbeth runs Oct. 3-7 at the Johnson Theater.
Shakespeare Lab is free and open to the public.
