November 10, 2012: AlumFEST 2012
The MFA Program in Writing is delighted to announce AlumFEST 2012, Saturday, November 10th, our first ever program of readings and panels featuring both returning MFA graduates and current students!
We'll be celebrating new books by two recent graduates, Tim Horvath's collection of stories Understories and Karina Borowicz's award-winning book of poems The Bees Are Waiting. We'll also be hosting panel discussions on publishing and employment/grant opportunities for writers in the afternoon, and a reading in the evening featuring three wonderful students currently working in the program.
AlumFEST is an opportunity to hear some terrific writing, learn from the "real world" experiences that our most successful alums have had with publishing and jobs, and reconnect with old friends and students.
All events are free and open to the public. Please join us as we share some of the great writing that our current and former students are doing with the university community and the public at large!
AlumFEST events will be held in Hamilton Smith Hall, 95 Main Street, Durham, NH. Please contact the English Department office for directions: (603) 862-1313
