Enrollment and Eligibility

The New Hampshire Literacy Institutes are strictly for credit; auditing privileges are not permitted. Undergraduate students must complete their bachelor degree before enrolling in the program. All classes will meet Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 2:15 PM, except July 4.

 

Reservation and Deposit ($200)

Course charges, permissions, and reservations are processed through the New Hampshire Literacy Institutes. (Housing and parking are separate.)

One payment of $200 will reserve a seat in one or more courses (up to 10 credits).

Fill out a reservation form and send it with your deposit.

Make checks payable to UNH English and mail to: NH Literacy, Hamilton Smith Hall, 95 Main St., Durham, NH 03824

You may also fax your reservation to our secure Fax (603) 862-4101.

For tuition waiver eligibility, please send a registration form with your approval, instead of paying a deposit (some fees may apply). No purchase orders will be accepted. FAFSA applicants should notify us when summer aid has been approved. International students must register with a bank check in US dollars.

Cancelation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your registration at any time by emailing nh.literacy@unh.edu. A full refund will be granted when your request is received before July 1. After that, partial refunds will be processed according to the Registrar’s Office deadlines.

 

Summer Housing and Dining (603) 862-1900

You have the option to live on campus in one of the residence halls. All rooms are single occupancy with air conditioning.

Housing rates currently start at $240* per week. Add $135* per week for an optional meal plan. Make reservations directly through the UNH Conference Office; a form will be available online at www.conferences.unh.edu 

Please be sure to issue a separate check to UNH Conferences for campus housing/dining reservations.

 

Parking and Visitor Information (603) 862-1010

A valid UNH parking permit must be displayed in your car on campus. The cost for a summer permit is $35.00 (effective May 28-August 2); or you can pay the daily rate of $8.00. Please Note: You will be responsible for parking violations.
