- Developing a case for attracting funding for the Tropical Conservatory part of the MacFarlane Greenhouses that would engage various on and off campus stakeholders in a common effort to determine the funding levels to upgrade, enhance, and permanently support the existing facility.
- Working to design a greenhouse facility that would showcase biological diversity, environmental education, and sustainable greenhouse construction in a very visible part of the UNH campus.
- Building a data curation program as part of the Library's institutional repository initiative; this new field has developed in the past few years with federal funding into a series of curriculum and library projects in the UK and US. It involves managing the large data sets generated by computationally intensive research (e-science) to provide for public access. This would involve surveying existing UNH projects as well as developing a new Library service that would engage researchers and the public by providing access to the original data.
