- Working with UNH undeclared/undecided undergraduates in helping them to decide if a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) degree program would be right for them.
- Engaging with faculty and staff from Elizabeth City State University to provide their students with science research-based coursework in order to broaden the participation of underrepresented minorities in STEM disciplines.
- Continuing engagement in a multi-institutional effort to develop a model for middle and high school teacher professional development in Earth system science.
- Involved in a program for training and equipment loans to teachers of analytical instrumentation to use in their classrooms.
