- Engaging with community partners to address health issues faced by persons aging with intellectual and other disabilities.
- Engaging persons with disabilities, community care providers, faculty, and health care providers in dialogue to identify needs and strategies for promoting health and wellbeing of aging persons with disabilities living in the community.
- Fostering community-based learning for nursing students through clinical practicum experiences that address assessment of health needs and identification of strategies targeted to reduce health disparities for persons with disabilities.
