Directions to UNH
By Car
Durham is located on U.S. Route 4, a major east-west highway linking
Portsmouth and Concord, NH. Travelers coming from southern New England,
as well as those coming from Maine, should follow Interstate 95 to its
intersection with Route 4 at Portsmouth. Whether you approach Durham from
the east or the west on Route 4, exit at state road 155A and turn east
toward Durham. Follow 155A past a short stretch of farmlands and fields.

Amtrak train service connects UNH-Durham to Portland, Maine and
Boston. The train station is adjacent to the Whittemore Center. Check

Visitor parking is located near Parking Lot A. Faculty and commuter lots
