PhD students everywhere

Congratulations to Amy Sattler (MA Literature, '05) on her acceptance to Washington University in St. Louis. According to Amy, their First Year writing classes are capped at 12 students. What a pleasure that will be for her.

Tandonation

MFA poetry student Jason Tandon read a few poems tonight for "Writers in the Round" on WSCA (Portsmouth Community Radio). Meanwhile, his list of publications continues to grow (check his bio for details). Jay rocks!

More congrats

I'm poaching on Mike's territory here with this blog, but I wanted to announce a few more academic successes for two of our grad students.

Jeff Covington has been accepted to Brown University's PhD program.

Cara Snider has been accepted to West Virginia University's PhD program.

Both Cara and Jeff are waiting to hear from other schools before making final decisions. Congratulations to both!
