Courses
The list below contains the courses recommended for doctoral students in
Curriculum and Instruction/Teacher Education. The courses are combined in one list because these two areas have considerable overlap, both in subject matter and in the career patterns of graduates. Students typically select
five courses from the list below.
Students may also select courses from other departments, with permission from their Guidance Committee, either as supplements or as substitutions for certain courses listed here. Guidance Committees may require additional courses for a particular specialization, for dissertation research, or to fill in gaps from previous course work in the field of education.
