TEAM BIRD

Our project began July 19th, with a trip to the Barrington Headwaters Preserve. We learned a number of bird calls, with the assisstance of Steve Hale, professor at UNH. The methodologies are explained in more detail here , and information about birds can be found here.

Adam

A native of DePere, WI, Adam got his B.S. in marine science from the University of South Carolina in December 2002. He worked as a naturalist at Long Lake Conservation Center in Palisade, MN from January 2003 until May 2004. He is now enrolled in the Master's of Environmental Education program at UNH, with the hopes of continuing in the naturalist field upon graduation.

Laura

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Laura earned her B.A. in Communications at Indiana University in May 2004. She spent summers at Squam Lake growing up and decided to return to New Hampshire for her masters in Environmental Education.

Lindsay

A native of Durham, Maine, Lindsay received a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Alfred University in May 2002. She recently returned to the east coast after spending a year in Utah as an AmeriCorps volunteer and a year in California as a naturalist. She is now a graduate student at the University of New Hampshire.

Casey

A native of Queedle Queedle, New Mexico, Casey received her B.A. from Clown College in May 1957. She spent a year living with the Hairy Woodpecker. And Casey is currently a stand-out member of the U.S. extreme ironing team.

Jon

One day in the year 2000, Jon went to a Seven-Eleven convenience store in Maine and spent $7.11. Coming off this glory of this achievement, he decided to attend the University of New Hampshire and is currently enrolled in the Elementary Education Masters program.
