The Education Department offers teacher certification in Agriculture Education and in certain Career and Technology Specialties including Animal Science, Food Products and Processes, Plant Systems (Horticulture, Floriculture Landscaping and grounds), Agricultural Mechanics, Comprehensive Agricultural Education, Forestry, Building Construction, and Food Production and Services. These options are available to individuals with appropriate backgrounds. All candidates in these options must have appropriate undergraduate preparation and be accepted into the M.Ed. Secondary program for teacher preparation. Applications are due by November 1 . Graduate Record Exam scores are required for Graduate School Admission. Most candidates will follow the UNH 5-Year Teacher Education Program which begins with Education 500, Exploring Teaching. Candidates in Agricultural Education may follow an appropriate Student Designed Major in Agricultural Education.

The Department will seek to accommodate graduate students interested in a Masters degree in adult and occupational education through the M.Ed. Program in Teacher Leadership.
