Outdoor Education class


Specialization Courses

Doctoral students in the Experiential/Outdoor Education specialization typically complete the courses below. The Guidance Committee may require additional courses in connection with particular research agendas, or to fill in gaps from previous coursework in the field of education.

A minimum of five courses selected from the following:

EDUC 986 Philosophy of Education

KIN 882 Therapeutic Applications of Adventure Programming

KIN 884 Programs in Outdoor Education

KIN 885 Foundations of Adventure Education

KIN 886 Organization and Administration of Outdoor Education

KIN 898 Psychological Factors in Adventure Programming

KIN 950 Internship

KIN 986 Change Processes in Adventure Programming
