Welcome

The Department of Education at the University of New Hampshire provides unique experiences and opportunities for those individuals seeking to enter the professions of teaching and counseling and for those individuals who seek to further their education through professional development, and graduate level programs. Our position within a research university has enabled us to combine the methods of research with the rigors of professional preparation.  We have established close working relationships with a number departments in most colleges at the university.  Our professors and instructors are both well-qualified practitioners and highly regarded researchers who stay at the forefront of their areas of study.

We are a graduate department offering three different masters’ degrees (M.Ed., M.A.T, and M.A.) in six different programs, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Administration and Supervision, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education.  Our graduates take positions as teachers, counselors, reading specialists, special education teachers, early childhood specialists, principals, and superintendents.  The largest and best measure of our programs is the quality of our graduates. And our graduates become quality leaders in their fields.

I invite you to explore further our programs of study, take the opportunity to work with other committed professional educators and counselors, and learn with knowledgeable, recognized faculty members.  Please contact me should you have any questions (603.862.2310, tad@unh.edu).
