On behalf of the staff of the Live, Learn, and Teach Program, welcome!
The Initial Guide to LLT is intended to prepare you for an incredible educational journey and answer many of the questions you may have about the program.
Included in this Initial Guide you will find:
- registration information,
- an overview of the LLT program,
- dates, times, and locations for you to satisfy your Defensive Driving requirement,
- information to help you complete your First Aid/CPR requirement,
- a health form to complete and send back before Wilderness Week,
and,
- a list of your initial assignments for the summer. Please note that Dewey Point One MUST be completed BEFORE the program and mailed to me or turned in on the first day of the program.
Please read the information contained here carefully. Live, Learn and Teach is an intense, exciting, and learning-filled introduction to teaching. The more fully you prepare yourself for the summer, the better your experience will be. A checklist is provided to help you get ready for Wilderness Week, as are reading and writing assignments to help you start thinking about the teaching and learning that will be such a big part of your summer.
I am looking forward to meeting you at the beginning of the program. If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail lisa.wilder@unh.edu, or call (603) 862- 2381.
Sincerely,
Liza Finkel and Amy Mann
