"I first became aware of LLT when my wife took the course. Through her involvement, I met an incredible group of caring, intelligent, passionate people who were making their first, challenging foray into teaching. I was convinced that I had to try this program! I did so, two years later, and the effect on my teaching career (and my life) has been profound. There is no
better way to enter the profession. I look back on LLT as the root of all
that I value in my teaching philosophy and practice."

Phase 4: Synthesis and Reflection
An integral part of the whole experience is the on-going effort to examine the teaching/learning process through team meetings, individual conferences, and periodic self-assessments. This process continues when participants assess students' learning and thus the effectiveness of their curriculum/instructional design, analyze personal and professional growth, and reflect on what the total summer experience means to them.
While reflection is woven in throughout the experience as students reflect on their work through conferences, journal writings and required written assignments, thoughtful reflection on the entire summer experience affords participants the opportunity to evaluate strengths and areas for continued growth and development as they move toward becoming better teachers.
