 Volunteer and Education Programs Manager

  • Responsible for all aspects of CHP’s Volunteer Farming Program including recruitment, scheduling, and communications (including pre-visit, presentation, take home, and post-visit)with all volunteers
  • Work with Leadership Programs Manager to schedule team leaders based on volunteer group needs
  • Oversight of AmeriCorps VISTA Education Coordinator and all CHP Education Programs, including Nutrition Education and Summer on the Farm
  • Develop, facilitate and oversee program evaluation process for all CHP volunteer and education programs
  • Work with Marketing & Events Coordinator to effectively communicate all volunteer and education opportunities
  • Coordinate pilot of volunteer management software

 This position is full-time, with a flexible schedule based on seasonal task variation (40 hours/week year round).  Bachelor’s degree is required.  Experience with volunteer management and program development preferred; communication, organization and computer skills required.

Leadership Programs Manager

  • Responsible for all aspects of CHP Leadership Programs (Volunteer Team Leaders, College Interns, School Groups, Work Study Students, and Workforce Development Interns) including recruitment, orientation and training, supervision and recognition
  • Work with Volunteer and Education Programs Manager to schedule team leaders based on volunteer group needs
  • Work with all staff to assess volunteer leadership needs
  • Responsible for coordinating all partnerships with colleges and community organizations pertaining to Leadership Programs
  • Develop, facilitate and oversee program evaluation process for all CHP leadership programs
  • Work with Marketing & Events Coordinator to effectively communicate all leadership opportunities
  • Responsible for HR tasks including timesheet, CORI forms and other paperwork
  • Work with Farm Manager to match up farm task list with team leaders
  • Participate in daily morning meetings to communicate plan and expectations to team leaders

 AmeriCorps VISTA Education Coordinator

  • Responsible for all aspects of CHP Education Programs (Nutrition Education and Summer on the Farm) including evaluation of pilot, planning for implementation, marketing, scheduling, and continuous improvement
  • Grant writing as needed to support Education Programs
  • Coordinate demo/tasting garden including vegetables and schedule of planting
  • Coordinate distribution of vegetable recipe cards through community
  • Coordination of Direct Distribution Day visits

 This position is full-time, with a flexible schedule based on seasonal task variation (40 hours/week year round).  Experience with education programming and/or curriculum development preferred; communication, organization and computer skills required.
