Responsibilities:

 

The Senior Manager of Outreach Operations is responsible for operationalizing the strategic growth initiatives of the Cooking Matters program, with the specific goal of scaling the Shopping Matters program. The Senior Manager will work as part of a team to expand the reach of Cooking Matters grocery store tours across the nation through operationalizing partnerships and implementing programming with a focus on metrics-driven results.

 

    Manage the successful implementation and scaling of national grocery store tour campaign

        Oversee logistics of Shopping Matters grocery store tours including organization of trainings, procurement and distribution of materials, promotion and distribution of grants, and tracking of facilitator and participant engagement.

        Development of strong infrastructure for continued success including database, fulfillment, and other operations systems.

        Implement programmatic partnerships; develop reporting mechanisms to guide partners and collaborators to their agreed upon commitments.

        Practice continuous improvement techniques to ensure program quality and performance excellence.

        Oversee Shopping Matters team including direct and indirect staff on national and regional level, managing team work plans and budget

        Contribute to the enhancement metrics and methods used to monitor and evaluate the performance of the strategic growth initiatives.

        Works collaboratively with internal staff and external constituents to strengthen the reputation of Cooking Matters as part of the No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger.

        Supports the overall goals and objectives of the Cooking Matters program through additional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

 

Reports to: Director of Outreach

 

Location: Washington, DC- HQ

 

Qualifications:

 

    BA/BS required, MA/MS preferred; typically requires 5-8 years of relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience and substantial technical knowledge.

    At least 3 years of related experience in successfully implementing large- scale, partnership-based programs at state, regional, and/or national level.

    Excellent analytical, project management, budget development, and organizational skills required.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills through a number of channels including but not limited to web conference, email, phone, and in- person.

    Ability to work well with multiple groups of people and diverse populations.

    Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain positive, mutually beneficial relationships.

    Demonstrated ability to initiate, organize, prioritize, and work independently on multi-step, detail-oriented projects.

    Highly effective within a fluid, entrepreneurial environment.

    High energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to ensuring all kids get the healthy food they need.

    Proven effectiveness in a startup or rapid growth environment.

    Experience with health education programming and engagement with low- income communities desired.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office and online communications tools.
