Full-time project assistant position available with an independent
non-profit organization working to improve sustainability in
agriculture and communities through Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
Primary responsibility will be assisting with a project designed to
improve sustainability of fresh produce production, working with a
national food retailer and its supply chain.
The individual in this position will support the project coordinator
in standards development and testing with producers, retail managers
and project scientists; training; communications; and project
evaluation and reporting. Ideal candidate will have experience in and
demonstrated commitment to sustainable agriculture. Excellent verbal
and written communication skills a must. Familiarity with Microsoft
Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Access a plus. References required.
Flexible schedule, 36-40 hours per week, hourly compensation ranging
from $11 to $12 commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits
include health insurance and paid vacation. Located in near west
Madison, on bus routes.
