Project Description
This project is funded under the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) and Transportation Enhancements grant programs which supports the overall project focus including:
- Improved intercity bus access and loading area
- Dedicated indoor transit passenger waiting space
- ADA improvements to the existing rail station
- Improved transit passenger amenities including information display systems
Nesmith driveway relocation to College Road - Renovation/stabilization of the historic structure
- Maintenance of food service

Construction Notes:Work began September 2007. The rail platform will remain open throughout construction and Downeaster and coordinated bus service will remain fully accessible. The Dairy Bar Restaurant is closed and will reopen under management by Hospitality Services in Spring 2008. Adjacent parking areas will be impacted by contractor work zones.
