The Alliance is also committed to making a safe environment not only for students within the organization, but around Durham as well. We strive to create a community without prejudice. Students should be able to feel comfortable expressing themselves and their identity everywhere, from classrooms to dorms. A core belief of the Alliance is that students should not have to live in an environment where they feel alienated from fellow students.
Lastly, the Alliance is a support network of friends and people whom you come to know, trust, and respect week after week. Whether you’re looking for advice on how to come out to the people around you or just looking to make some friends, the Alliance is there for you. Our events are oriented not only toward bettering the community, but also toward just unwinding and having fun.
