Bob is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy in the College of Health and Human Services at the University of New Hampshire. His research focuses on health disparities for families with children with genetically derived and chronic health conditions. His other interests include health data and information issues. From 2003 until 2008 he served as the executive director of the NH Health Information Center at UNH. He has directed a number of health IT programs including, NH Connects for Health, the NH Health Care Interoperability Project, and the Health Information Security and Privacy Project.
Dr. McGrath a 1996 graduate of the Department of Health Management and Policy at UNH and has also received an MS in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard University School of Public health in 1998, an MA in social policy from the Brandeis University Heller School for Social Policy and Management in 2000, and a PhD in social policy from the Brandeis University Heller School for Social Policy and Management in 2006.
Bob lives in Portsmouth with his wife Cori and 3 year old daughters, Molly and Shaye.
