Art Greenberg is Professor of Chemistry at the University of New Hampshire. He came to UNH as Dean of Engineering and Physical Sciences and Professor of Chemistry in July 2000. He served a full term as Dean stepping down in July 2005 to assume duties as professor. Prior to coming to UNH he was Chair of the Chemistry Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (1994-2000), Professor and Director of the Graduate Program in Environmental Sciences at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey (1989-1994), Professor and Co-Director of the Air Pollution research Laboratory at New Jersey Institute of Technology (1977-1989) and Associate Professor at Frostburg State College (1972-1977). His research interests are in bio-organic chemistry, environmental chemistry and history of chemistry. He has published over 120 refereed papers and chapters, authored 5 books, and edited 18 books. He collects rare books in chemistry and alchemy, sings with the Portsmouth Pro Musica and became an avid Boston Red Sox fan even before 2004.
