Here at the UNH Dairy Bar, we are focused on healthy foods and sustainability. We select wholesome, local products. We use compostable containers and cutlery for takeaway orders. We use EnergyStar rated equipment in our kitchen. We're doing all that we can to be sustainable while offering some of the tastiest food and , of course - ice cream, in town!

The UNH Dairy Bar is the only restaurant in New Hampshire to be a 3-Star Certified Green Restaurant by the Green Restaurant Association (GRA). 

The UNH Dairy bar implemented sixty environmental steps targeting, food, water, waste, energy, chemicals,

disposables, and building materials. Our loved restaurant recycles everything commercially possible in Durham using compostable packaging and unique recycling sorting bins for guests. Fresh local products are sourced from the UNH high-tunnels as well as local suppliers using sustainable methods resulting in naturally fresh food.
