A.R. Venkatachalam is Chair of the Decision Sciences Department at the Whittemore School
of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire. He received his B.S.
with Honors from the University of Madras, India, an MBA from the Indian
Institute of Management Calcutta, and a Ph.D. from the University of Alabama.
His research interests include electronic commerce, cross-cultural studies in
information systems management, global information systems, and artificial
intelligence applications in business. His publications have appeared in several
research journals including Information and Management, Journal of Strategic
Information Systems, Journal of Global Information management, Journal of Law
and Technology, Technology in Society, Journal of Business & Entrepreneurship,
Computers & Operations Research, International Journal of Expert Systems with
Applications, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, Simulation, and
Industrial Management and numerous international and national conference
proceedings. He is on the editorial review boards of the Journal of
Electronic Commerce in Organizations, Information Resources Management Journal,
and Journal of End-user Computing and also a frequent reviewer for a
number of journals and conferences. He is a member of the Decision Sciences
Institute, Information Resources Management Association, and Association of
Information Systems.
