The Center for Professional Excellence in Child Welfare continually assesses the training needs of DCYF staff in a variety of ways including via training liaisons assigned to each DCYF District Office. Training liaisons meet directly with staff within each District Office on a regular basis and maintain ongoing contact by phone and email. Training liaisons are responsible for working with staff to provide support and to assess their individual trainings needs in order for each Supervisor and CPSW to complete an Annual Individual Training Plan (AITP). The training liaisons utilize AITPs to guide CPE’s training programs, as well as for processing individual training requests from each staff member. In addition, liaisons assist in identifying and coordinating trainings scheduled in the District Offices, which are intended to meet a specific need of each individual Office.
