Technology Transfer
The Office of Research Partnerships and Commercialization (ORPC) develops and manages the intellectual property portfolio of the University of New Hampshire. Its mission is to build research partnerships that result in commercialization and economic development; serve as the focal point for advocacy and support of UNH’s intellectual property; assist faculty and staff with intellectual property protection by patent, copyright, or other means; and facilitate transfer of research results to the public by bringing scientists and the business community together in relationships of mutual advantage.
ORPC has a particularly strategic focus statewide through the Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR Program) and its goal to increase the state’s science and technology resources, as well as the New Hampshire Industrial Research Center, a matching grant program funded by the N.H. Legislature.
