Sustainability Programs
Office of Sustainability Programs
The office integrates sustainability into
UNH’s identity, practices, and land-grant mission. The office is charged
with collaborating with faculty, staff, administrators, and students
to integrate the principles and practices of sustainability throughout
UNH’s “CORE”—curriculum, operations, research, and engagement—with local,
state, regional, national, and international partners. The office works
closely with the private sector, not-for-profits, and governmental agencies
in building partnerships. It is the longest-standing endowed University
sustainability program in the nation.

Organic Dairy
The Organic Dairy is a research center for organic production
and management and an education center for organic dairy farmers, farmers
considering the transition to organic, and students of sustainable agriculture.
It is responding to a need of farmers for scientific research to support
organic dairy efforts. UNH is the first land-grant university to have
an organic dairy farm.
