Strategic Relations with UNH

The Office of the Vice President for Research at the University of New Hampshire facilitates University partnerships with industry, government, foundations, non-profits, and other interested organizations. By providing access to students, faculty, and administration, we can develop strategic relationships that connect our educational, research, and outreach resources with your business goals.

We serve as a single point of contact and work closely with many specific leaders here at UNH to help you discover which resources best align with your needs, facilitate coordination, and improve connection to our corporate partners and the business community. These resources and points of contact are identified throughout this document.

Career Resources, Internships, Fellowships: UNH is an excellent place to find the talent your organization needs. We facilitate career fairs, posting of internships and jobs, and mentoring.

Tech Transfer: UNH is a top-tier research institution with growing success in intellectual property development and technology transfer. You can collaborate on shared research, license UNH technology, or be involved in the spin out of UNH intellectual capital.

Doing Business with UNH: UNH is a large institution and community. We value our relations with service providers, sub-contractors, and vendors.

Business Development: We are committed to assisting the private sector and the State of New Hampshire with economic and business development.

Educating Your Workforce: UNH offers many applied and focused educational programs for the business community at our campus in Durham, at UNH Manchester, and online. We offer associate, baccalaureate, and graduate programs that will help your employees to continue or complete their post-secondary education.

Executive Development: We can develop on-site or on-campus programs tailored to your business needs that will enhance the skills of your current workforce.

Outreach: Working with UNH ties your organization more closely to our knowledge base and to the fabric of the community.

Community: Networking, Events, and Knowledge Connect with colleagues, business associates, and opinion leaders at the UNH CEO Forum; enjoy a UNH Men’s or Women’s hockey game; take in a show at Johnson Theater; explore an art exhibit at Paul Creative Arts Center; attend a lecture in one of our colleges, departments, or centers; or visit a UNH library.

Focused Research Expertise: UNH has more than 70 groups, centers, and institutes that are able to provide assistance to your research problems.

Remember...we want to remain connected to you. You may be a UNH alumnus or your company may have many UNH alumni.

You may want to mentor students, establish internships, hire UNH graduates, or serve on boards.

Remember...UNH can help you to make a difference by realizing your charitable or social responsibility goals through gifts to the University. Our UNH Foundation Corporate Relations Team can work closely with you as this aspect of the partnership is realized. Organizations that support UNH are recognized within the University and the community, generating visibility linked to mutual effort and commitment.
