ABOUT CONNECT
The CONNECT program at UNH seeks to accomplish the University's goals to make the University of New Hampshire a more diverse, respectful community—one that communicates to all of its members that they are respected, and that their contributions are valued. The CONNECT program has two components:
CONNECT Summer Orientation:
This is an optional five-day program for first-year and transfer students of color, held just before fall orientation and usually the last week in August. Students of color will have the opportunity to meet upper-class students of color, faculty, staff and become familiar with the UNH campus before the majority population arrives. Apply for Connect

CONNECT Academic Year (ReCONNECT)
Through academic programs and social activities, CONNECT introduces students of color to campus resources, including, but not limited to, Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA), Center for Academic Resources (CFAR), Robert Connors Writing Center, and the CONNECT Peer Mentor Program.
Why CONNECT?
CONNECT creates a welcoming, supportive and friendly atmosphere for students of color. A student's initial experience at college - often the first hours - shapes academic performance and social adjustment. CONNECT assures that those initial experiences for students of color are positive. During the school year, students "stay connected" through the UNH ReCONNECT program and form closer relationships with their peers.
