CI-UNH announces 2013 summer trip to China

Once again, CI-UNH is organizing a UNH student summer trip to China at the end of May. The trip will last 3 weeks. Students will tour in China visiting such places as Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai for a week and take a Summer Experience in China course (UNH CHIN 420) for over two weeks at Chengdu University. There may be short day trips in the vicinity of Chengdu during those two weeks. Students will earn 4 UNH credits at the summer rate.
Cost: This is a scholarship program. Students pay for 4 UNH credits at the summer rate plus round trip airfare to China (around $1500). The scholarship takes care of student travel, room, and board in China.
Who is eligible: Full- or part-time UNH students who meet UNH study abroad requirements. This includes students from UNH-M and Concord Law School. Selection will be on competitive bases.
When: May 19 – June 10, 2013
Where: Boston -> Beijing -> Xian -> Chengdu -> Shanghai -> Boston
CHIN 420: CHIN 420 is a Summer Experience in China course newly created. It can be repeated. Students will need to travel with Chinese history and culture in mind. They will also need to learn basic conversational Chinese in a course at Chengdu University.
Interested students should fill out a study abroad application form and return that to G14 Murkland Hall or to the COLA Study Abroad Office, 116 Murkland Hall, before March 15th.
