Date change for Chinese New Year Gala: Now scheduled for January 31
CI-UNH announces a date change for the Chinese New Year Gala originally scheduled for January 26. The new date is January 31. The time and location remain the same: the Johnson Theatre at UNH from 6:00–8:00 pm.
CI-UNH has worked hard during the holiday to invite 18 performers from The Wenqin Performing Arts Group of Zhejiang University. The group will arrive in Durham on January 31 from Hangzhou, China. They will bring us 12 fantastic programs to add to our celebration. Zhejiang University is one of the top three universities in China. Wenqin Performing Group is the only privately funded student performing group in Chinese universities. The group has performed in many countries with high praise. We are excited about this event. In addition to the 12 programs from this group, we will have our own White Haired Girl in ballet and two martial arts programs from our beloved Mr. Dai Haibin of Chengdu University.
Due to limited seating at Johnson Theatre, tickets are required. Please email YIGE@COMCAST.NET to reserve your tickets early.
The UNH President's Office had originally reserved the Johnson Theatre for January 31 for an important event. It has graciously made some tough rearrangements to let CI-UNH use the facility instead. CI-UNH wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to the President's Office for making this possible!
This CI-UNH sponsored event is free and open to the general public.
